Gung Ho London
Gung Ho is a London-based ethical and sustainable fashion brand that allows you to not only wear what you love, but what you believe in.
Each year they pick a different issue that needs attention, from Plastic Oceans and Precious Insects, to their current cause; Climate Change. All of these issues are explored within the print design of their garments, or through embroidery in the case of their statement sweatshirts. Eg, the Airmiles blouse is more than just a beautifully vibrant veggie print, it's a conversation starter about local and seasonal eating - the smaller the produce, the further it has travelled to reach your plate in London.
Each garment comes with a minizine that explains the issue you are wearing, why it’s important and what you can do to help. That way, the next time someone compliments you on what you’re wearing you'll have a little more to say than just 'thanks'.
The collections are ‘seasonless’, made fairly & locally from sustainable fabrics. The collection is made in only 2 sizes (XS/S & M/L which are adjustable), significantly reducing fabric and wastage. Any further waste is also minimised by small-scale accessories production using fabric offcuts like scrunchies and neck scarves - each completely individual and one of a kind.
10% of their profits are also donated to a selected charity that works with the issue represented in the collection, so you can not only look good, but do good too.
